On our way to Minnesota

Some buddies and I are on our way north to Minnesota to catch a Royals game this weekend. We're going to stop in des Moines for lunch here in a bit. I think we're stopping at smokey d's - any recommendations on what to get? Also, are there any good joints in Minneapolis we need to try?

We did. We got a sampling of things and shared, the burnt ends were crazy good. Also, the pork was good. Potato casserole was really good too. We also had pork, ribs, brisket sausage beans and fries. All was really good, thought the brisket was a little dry.
