somebody shut me the fark up.
On Turtle Man he used natural Spearmint or Peppermint and rounded up 40-50 Rats in a big ole bed sheet. Rats ran from the mint. He had the plant in his hands spook them out of their hidey holes.
On a camper forum I used to go on everyone swore by Irish Spring soap to keep mice out. Them Northern Folk would toss in 2-3-4 bars when they close up their campers for the Winter.

i would go over and have a serious conversation with your neighbor about his cat being a slacker! put a bowl or two of catfood out there and get a few feral cats hanging around. your rats will go away!

Rats are attracted to cat food. Actually, they will eat just about anything you leave out.

Yessiree! I had a female that stayed around here for about 5 years. She was a small cat but she would kill full grown cottontail rabbits!! Sure do miss her :-(
Like the redneck in Trains, Planes and Automobiles said...."She aint very big but she's strong"!!
