Almost finished with my latest smoker build, and wanted to show off a little, rack size is 21 wide by 22 deep so hotel pans fit, has 6 racks but can hold 14, almost 5 feet tall 27 inches wide, holds 20-30 pounds of charcoal, burns about 3/4 pounds an hour, holds 250 FOREVER with out having to mess with the vents.

Still need to get in touch with the painter and finish up a piece of stainless for the trim ring around the thermometer.

Hope you like it.

Looks real nice! I vote you paint it red with black doors.

Very nice. Sure wish I was that creative or knew someone local that was.

Baffle details, please?

Its a standard reverse flow, similar to Backwoods, Humphrey's, and others. Smoke and heat travel up the false walls inside then spill over the top into the cooking chamber. The chimney exits the cooking chamber near the bottom. Separating the two chambers is a layer of 1 1/4" fire bricks and a piece of 3/16" steel plate. I also use a 5 gallon water pan sitting on the steel plate to help act as a heat sink.

Hope this helps.

Nice build! Do you mind saying how much you'll have in it not counting your labor? I'm considering building one myself but I haven't done the due diligence yet.

I'm in it about 700-750 right now. Not sure what paint is gonna cost yet. Comparing other smokers this size, I've saved 1,000 maybe 2,000 dollars.
