Went to the store today to grab something to grill. I am in true shock at beef prices. Market trimmed brisket select 6.49# select packers 3.59. CAB tri tips 9.49#. 80/20 hamburger 3.69#Chuck roast 3.69.

Well came home with a 3.5# tri-tip from the marked down (old Meat)section 13.90. Eat mo' chicken
 
It keeps getting worse....

Pretty soon it will be like the scene from Soylent Green, the steak is worth more than gold...
 
Tell me about it. One local butcher marked up packers to $6 lbs. I shook my head and left with nothing. I would normally buy a little something even if they didn't have what I was looking for but I left on principles. I will speak with my wallet for the time being. Sucks cause I like the guy.
