Hey guys. Been surfing your forum for a few now. I just picked up a 250 gal propane tank to start my build. ive been looking at the fire box threads and have done the calculators. Was wonder what all of you have went with on your 250's. I found a site that sells them already built http://easttexassmokercompany.com/Custom_Smokers.html and they use 16hx24WX24L on all there boxes. This seem common?

Thanks!

My gut says that is to small but what did the calculator say? FWIW, I use Feldon and try to go to 110% for the firebox.

I also happen to have a 24"X10' stainless pipe also.... was thinking about using that as my cook area but i think i would be much happier with the few extra inches the propane tank offer. but have been tossing around using the stainless for the fire box and a warmer......

mine started out 20x20x19 and it was to small. added a 3" ash pan and it works fine. but better to big than to small
