Was in the store today and after seeing a few items I got to thinking. Has anyone used these sugar alternatives in rubs, recipes, sauces, or anything else with any success? Also been wanting to find some recipes using Chipotle pepper if anyone has that or any other unique flavor profile ideas to add. Thanks.

I use agave. We even won first in ribs in Buckhannon wv in the backyard division. We use it in our wrap for ribs and in the sauce.

It amplifies the flavor of the sauce.
 
Yes, I have used both for general sweetening tasks in all of my cooking. The coconut sugar caramelizes nicely and is great for grilling.
 
Ive used agave as a sweetener, different flavor than honey. Chipotle and ancho powder are stables for rubs for me.
