Got Wood.
Hello from Andrews, TX, located in West Texas, near Midland/Odessa, land of sunshine, tumblin' tumbleweeds (and some blowing sand), bobbing pump jacks, friendly people, and the world's most beautiful sunrises/sunsets.
I joined BBQB from following a link when I looked up info on my rarely-used Bandera Smoker. I got the mods for the Bandera, but discovered that this forum had much more to offer.
Right now, I'm consistently adept at grilling chicken, salmon, and slow-cooking pork ribs. I mix my own rubs and marinades - nothing pre-fab - and don't use BBQ sauce (it's the devil). My forays into brisket and pork butts/shoulders have been with mixed results - usually on the crappy side of decent.
I'll probably do more lurking than posting as I'm gonna be reading through old and current threads to try to learn something from all of you.
