Any of you guys have a suggestion on how to extinguish a pit fire I think this may start getting wild soon.:eusa_clap

SHut off the air ........without airflow it'll go out.....

is it a grease fire???

If so ......DO NOT PUT WATER ON IT!!!
 
You can shut the stack, and close all the other vents and don't open the lid, as Kevin said. Sometimes I'll huck a big handful of salt in there, too.

Or rice.
 
Thanks for advice fellas. I grabed the ash can next the smoker and shoveled some ashes on it. it worked. Grease fire no mas.
