When I lived near an HEB in Texas I would get Fiesta Spices there. Now I order them from their website and they ship from San Antonio.

I actually live right on the edge of Greer, so that's very close. I'm going to stop in and if they have the big shaker jars, I'll try those if for no other reason than I need the containers =)

After that, it appears that Penzey's and Spice House was started by the same family? I suppose I'll just order from whoever has what I'm looking for at the best prices (assuming that those nutmeg spice company bottles aren't the best value).

Penzey's is top-notch --- no doubt about it, but a bit pricey.

For (most) bulk spices, I like
http://www.webstaurantstore.com/3849...nd-spices.html
And:
http://www.bulkfoods.com/37-spices.html

Webstaurant.com has good prices on most "staple" spices.
BulkFoods.com has good prices on some more "exotic" and harder to find stuff.

Grow a lot of my own herbs, buy some at Costco, and buy some at a local mom and pop herb shop that I've been doing business with since I was sixteen. Oh, Palo Azul. You dirty dog.

Penzey's for me. When I get from the grocery store its a company called "Its Delish". They come in those large shakers(spices, powders 8 to 10 oz), good stuff, and a heck of alot cheaper than the little bottles. Not sure if they're a west coast deal though.

I get mine from spicesinc.com
great selection of fresh spices in various sizes and a nice selection of salt free seasonings as well. Quick shipping and free if you order over a certain $ amount.
