I cooked these hindquarters the day before Thanksgiving and are in a new fridge, sealed in resturant quality tupperware, my um better half thinks I'm going to kill her if I don't do something with them ASAP, what is your thoughts?

Do I have a day or two or should I throw them out? If you asked me I'd say the latter but I'm all ears and thanks for the input.

If it's cooked right, there won't be any leftover.:heh:

Hence I agree 100% but we had so dog gone much food that there just wern't enough folks to feed. The brisket I cooked didn't make it to the table either but it sure makes great sammies during the week! :thumb:

Depends on a lot of factors, especially how much salt you used in your rub. Consider you can buy cooked chicken at many stores that lasts for weeks -- and sandwich meats that we don't buy will last a LONG time. The best way to tell if it is still good is to have one of the females in your house smell it. I'm the cautious one in our family and once food is getting toward a week, I'm very wary. My wife will usually assure me it's fine.

My wife is very paranoid about spoiled food. Heck I cut the green stuff off cheese and continue to eat the cheese. This makes the wife nauseous. Chicken though I would be very wary of because of salmonella. A week in the fridge would be beyond my limit. 3 or 4 days tops for me.

Does the same go for turkey, and I was always under the impression that if it was brined it would last longer?
