I love it. My brisket scores aren't near as good as Steve's but;

New Hampshire 6th
Bel Air 5th
Harpoon 8th
Wildwood 1st
Asbury Park 6th
Lake Placid 5th
Salisbury 9th

I hope to take Steve's class and improve to his level

I hope to take Dr. BBQ's class and improve to Steve's and Rich's level.

I found something that has most of the same ingredients that I can get locally and alot cheaper. Got 2 second places with it so far.

Do tell... what is it? and think it is in KS anywhere?

Yeah spill! What and where?

I like it, FAB B Lite especially. I cut it with water and a lot heavier than the package suggests.

Ain't no secret as to other fluids.
Broths, Fruit Juices, Water, and others work fine.
Add spices or rubs to taste.
Just make the flavor "your own" through experimentation.

One of the Q-Talk Moderators needs to add this into Post #32 on the RoadMap as at least the 4th major thread on FAB.

Exactly, not a secret at all. Experiment with different dillutions and liquids till you find what works for you.

Seems like the FAB alternative is still a secret though.

I read Big Mista post in the road map about Le Gout Au Jus. He said it was almost the exact same.

Well I ordered it. It better be good. Damn, you can buy crack cheeper. Ohh well. Thanks for the comments. I look forward to more.

Very interesting.. Very Very interesting... hmm...

To inject or not to inject... to be continued...

Yours in BBQ,

Cliff

i have never injected a brisket for competition. I think Jorge did last year though.

6 out of the last 7 contests I have placed 1st or 2nd except for 1 5th

That being said. I tried Fab B. Didnt care for the flavor and set it aside. Think i gave what I had left to Chad.
