Quick Announcement:
for the past few years, Ocean Spray Pools and Spas, backed by BGE, have supplied us with 5 Big green Eggs to use during the Ultimate Grilling Challenge, our own Iron Chef Style cookoff.
Ocean Spray is no longer affiliated with BGE so will not be a sponsor of the event. Without them, we will not be having the iron chef challenge.
This has NO EFFECT on the NEBS Grilling which will still take place.

yes. its a qualifer as long as we get 25 teams. we usually get over 40 so shouldn't be a problem

Main Street Fireplace in Patchogue are distributors for BGE, Primo, Sapphire and many other brands of high end BBQ equipment. They have agreed to join our event and will be showcasing their ceramics for our Iron Chef Challenge.
The IRON CHEF CHALLENGE IS BACK ON.
Same as the past 2 years, the winners of the 4 categories in the NEBS grilling event will advance to a fifth round, Iron Chef Style shootout, using mystery ingredients. The catch is, there will be a professional chef as a 5th competitor who you will have to beat for a winner take all cash prize.

I read the BBQ Brethren Contest Rules and didn't see anything about the Pork Parting rule. Maybe I missed it so I am asking is it legal in a BBQ Brethren Sanctioned Event?
