The 14th annual Ohio Smoked Meat and BBQ Festival will be held October 15 - 16, 2010, on the Public Square in Historic Nelsonville, Ohio.

The “ Ohio and Smoked Meat and Barbeque Festival” originated in 1996 as the first official state of Ohio championship for smoked meat and BBQ, proclaimed by the governor of Ohio. The competition is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society.

BBQ is back on the Public Square in Nelsonville, Ohio October 15 & 16, 2010. Check out Nelsonville and experience Ohio Barbecue at its finest.

The site host was hacked Monday evening and most of the hosted sited have not come back up yet.

I will have to manually reload the my files when i get home and get my laptop up and running.

gee thanks rob, but no it wasn't my pc that got hit. I'm a little bit peeved that the hosting company doesn't have the backups. I'll be shopping for a new hosting service real soon.

37 days until BBQ in Nelsonville, Ohio. 18 teams entered as off this afternoon. Still plenty of room for everyone. I believe the coffee shop and the Mine Tavern on the Public Square are increasing their inventories so they can keep up with all the teams for coffee and other liquid refresments. The website says there is a $50 late fee., might be better to call them. I think last year they waived the fee but wouldnt hurt to check.

Late Fee

The late fee was waived, we would rather have all your smiling faces tan the extra $50.

I'll check on the rain, but we are in Ohio and it is October. I can promise a fun weekend for everyone.

I hate to say this but this year you are all on your own. I will be going into Good samaritian for a complete knee replacement on the 6th and will get out of hosp on the 11th. Good luck to all and tell the mine that they can send back the 12 bottles of jack that they ordered...............
