Make sure you go to Hash House A Go Go for breakfast... Get some tableside guac at Diego at the MGM Grand (and a margarita!)... The Cosmopolitan is amazing - love to gamble there... Hmmm... I'm sure I can come up with some more stuff to do in my favorite place...
 
+1 on Hash House. Your arteries will than you. Also go to the Peppermill (across from Circus Circus) for giant girly drinks in an old Vegas style atmosphere.
 
Looks like there's a few Hash House locations in Vegas, any one in particular?

We have reservations for STK steakhouse in the Cosmopolitan. I'm not a gambler, so I'm more interested in the food. :clap:
 
We usually go to the one off-strip (West Sahara)... A little less "touristy". But we have gone to the others when we didn't have a rental car (or feel like paying for a cab).

Kevin would agree with you on the gambling... He goes for the food/drink - but def. takes advantage of my gambling for his free drinks. I go for it all!

We stayed at the Cosmopolitan last time, based on Gail's recommendation. It was good advice - not a cheap place at all, but a very different vibe from the other hotels we have stayed at there.

Try the Border Grill or RM Seafood at the Mandelay Bay. Fun test for BBQ cooks - RM Seafood has an ice cream tasting test for dessert. They give you 16 small servings and you have to guess what they are. The answer sheet comes later. Lots of fun, but some of the flavors will be really weird.
 
For those of you on this thread who aren't a member of the Western NY BBQ group on Facebook, it looks like a Pot Luck dinner is shaping up for Friday night. Will post more details here once I have them, or come on over to that thread on FB to see what's what.
 
Is anyone bringing there own generator? I don't like the sound of the electric they are providing. Sounds like there will be multiple extension chords plugged into one another held together by duct tape :-D

Yup. We're actually considering buying an extra heavy duty extension cord this time around, after we got screwed at another contest earlier this year with a similar problem...
